Cedar Ridge Hiking Co. provides guided hiking tours, wilderness expeditions, educational programs, and outdoor adventure services throughout Canada. Our services include but are not limited to:

• Day hiking tours and multi-day wilderness expeditions
• Photography tours and specialized outdoor workshops
• Corporate team-building programs and group adventures
• Educational programs about Canadian wilderness and conservation
• Equipment rental and outdoor gear consultation

All services are subject to weather conditions, seasonal availability, and guide discretion for safety purposes.

3. Booking and Payment Terms

Bookings must be made through our official website or authorized booking partners. All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by Cedar Ridge Hiking Co.

Payment Policy:

• A deposit of 25% is required at the time of booking
• Full payment is due 30 days before the tour departure date
• Payment can be made via credit card, bank transfer, or approved payment methods
• All prices are quoted in Canadian Dollars (CAD) unless otherwise specified
• Prices may be subject to change due to external factors such as park fees or fuel costs

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Customer Cancellations:

• Cancellations 45+ days before departure: Full refund minus 10% processing fee
• Cancellations 30-44 days before departure: 75% refund
• Cancellations 14-29 days before departure: 50% refund
• Cancellations less than 14 days before departure: No refund

Company Cancellations:

Cedar Ridge Hiking Co. reserves the right to cancel tours due to insufficient enrollment, weather conditions, or safety concerns. In such cases, customers will receive a full refund or may transfer to another available tour.

5. Participant Requirements and Safety

All participants must meet minimum physical fitness requirements and age restrictions as specified for each tour. Participants are required to:

• Complete and submit a medical questionnaire and liability waiver
• Disclose any medical conditions, allergies, or physical limitations
• Follow all safety instructions provided by guides and staff
• Carry appropriate personal gear and equipment as specified in pre-tour materials
• Maintain adequate travel and medical insurance coverage

Cedar Ridge Hiking Co. reserves the right to refuse service or remove participants who pose a safety risk to themselves or others.

6. Liability and Risk Assumption

Outdoor activities involve inherent risks including but not limited to weather changes, wildlife encounters, terrain hazards, and equipment failure. By participating in our tours, you acknowledge and assume these risks.

Cedar Ridge Hiking Co. carries comprehensive liability insurance and maintains high safety standards. However, participants acknowledge that wilderness activities cannot be made completely safe and agree to participate at their own risk.

All participants must sign a comprehensive liability waiver before participating in any activities.

7. Code of Conduct

All participants are expected to maintain respectful behavior toward guides, staff, fellow participants, and the natural environment. Prohibited behaviors include:

• Harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior toward others
• Damage to natural environments or wildlife disturbance
• Use of illegal substances or excessive alcohol consumption
• Failure to follow Leave No Trace principles
• Non-compliance with guide instructions or safety protocols

Violation of our code of conduct may result in immediate removal from tours without refund.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is owned by Cedar Ridge Hiking Co. and protected by copyright and trademark laws. Unauthorized use of our intellectual property is prohibited.

Photos and videos taken during tours may be used by Cedar Ridge Hiking Co. for marketing purposes unless participants specifically opt out in writing.

9. Privacy and Data Protection

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. Our collection and use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

By using our services, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Force Majeure

Cedar Ridge Hiking Co. shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government actions, pandemics, or other force majeure events.

In such cases, we will work with affected customers to reschedule tours or provide appropriate remedies as circumstances permit.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Alberta, Canada. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Calgary, Alberta, unless prohibited by applicable law.

Both parties agree to attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation before pursuing formal dispute resolution procedures.

Cedar Ridge Hiking Co. reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
